Restoration Begins

 

The restoration of the porches has begun! Some of the lumber from the porches was rotten and damaged beyond repair. 

 

 

 

 

 

However,  we have been able to reuse and reinforce some of the materials from Jesse Tiner's original construction. 

 

Some of the joists and rafters have been reused. 

 

Some of the original ledger boards were able to be used again. 

 

We are hoping to reinstall the banister boards and some bits of the decorative edging from the original construction.
